Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Primarily Related to Utilities Construction Street Works Projects

• Preparation of Job Packs from Site Surveys

• Plan and attend site surveys reporting viability of customer connections

• Check and verify information returning from site visits and surveys to ensure records are up to date

• Cable Pack Designs – Updating Fibre Allocation Schedules and Connectivity Diagrams

• Desktop analysis; plan optical fibre paths, producing maps and drawings

• Conduct data modelling, building map and database environments

• Capacity Planning

• Provide CAD and GIS support to other team members

• Liaison with Local/Highways Authorities. Clients, Utilities Representatives and internal Colleagues

• Support the department in management of larger projects in other areas when required

• Preparation of Method Statements and Risk Assessments

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• 1-2 years post graduate experience in GIS platforms

• Experience in FTTx design and rollout

• Use of AutoCAD, MS Visio, Excel 3. Googie Earth

• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft applications (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)

• Responsible for acting professionally and maintaining professional relationships

• Ability to integrate with team and to work on own initiative

• Ability to adhere to health and safety requirements and confidentiality

• Strong documentation skills

• Strong interpersonal skills in both oral and written communication
